Phew! Busy as a bee.

I've been shooting pics of my fiber all morning long and still have to manually re-skein the sock yarn.  Can't wait to get in my electric skein winder, hopefully by the end of the month.  That will make life MUCH easier.

I was planning to update my Etsy shop at 3pm Mountain Time today, but it's looking more like 6pm at the earliest.

Here are some of the items that will be going up for sale:

Wish me luck!

And the dyeing marathon continues

I have been on a dyeing TARE!  My goal has been to dye 15 items a day...10 rovings and 5 yarns, and I've been meeting it.  Phew!  I love the colors that the magical dye pot has been giving to me.  The dye-deities must be in good moods.  I'll be loading up my Etsy store on Sunday and am thinking about making a regular update time of every Sunday at 3pm Mountain Time.  Miss Holly, I have some things dyed up for you and will be shipping shortly.

Spinning craziness

Here's a little diddy I hand-painted and spun up yesterday especially for a VERY vibrant friend of mine.  I personally prefer more subdued colors, but this is a special gift for my friend, Mr. Fuzz.  It is a single, spun thick and thin with slubbies.

Tomorrow I'll begin dyeing some wool roving, silk roving, and cashmere yarn to throw up on Etsy.  Got to run now to feed and walk the doggers.

It's a good day for fiber

This morning I went to the po and retrieved my 3lbs of BFL and 3lbs of Merino.  They are both SUPER soft and I can't wait to dye them up.  Here's a pic:

BFL on the left, Merino on the right.

And lastly, a photo of my Lendrum DT for anyone who cares:

Doggers got to play with the neighbor's doggers this morning which was great fun.  Not much more to report.  I'm procrastinating on my taxes and need to dye up some fiber.

My dyes have arrived!! *angels singing in the background*

FINALLY!!!  My little cupcakes of color have arrived.  You know what that means.....a dyeing mega-marathon!  But, one itsy-bitsy little problem.  They were out of yellow and I didn't find out until today.  Grrrrr!  So, I placed another order today for some yellow and hopefully it will arrive before the weekend.  Ooooh, I hope so.  I am itching to dye this itchy wool up.  Juuuust kidding sweet little fiber balls, I know you are not itchy in the least, I'm just having fun with words as I like to do.  A girl's got to have some way of entertaining herself.

Here's a picture of my Border Collie, Miss Poppy Flower.

She's not the best model in the world, but she aims to please.

My first post!

This is my first blog post, whoopee!  I decided to test out the blog by posting a photo of my favorite knitting bag.  I purchased this beauty less than a month ago from Green Mountain Knitting Bags.  I think I'm in love!
