Latest yarn

So I haven't spun a lot of yarn in the last few months because my head's been in the dyepot. I finally get around to spinning, hoping I could knock out a few yarns this week, and I end up spending 4 days on one yarn. At least I'm happy with the results. With all that time put into one yarn, I'd be pissed if it turned out looking like crap.

The skein:
handspun yarn

The skein with a mini skein of navajo ply:
handspun yarn

The colorway I used. It's an oldie called Calypso that I dyed last year:
hand-painted merino combed top

  1. That yarn is beautiful. Do you have any plans for it?

  2. Thank you! No plans yet. I'm thinking scarf or hat? Maybe an open knit scarf? It might be frogged a couple of times before it finds it's true calling.

  3. Dear me, I think I need to learn to spin. That is possibly some of the most beautiful yarn I've laid eyes on.
